Don’t worry Aggie fans, we’ve got your plans for that bye weekend.
Obviously this time of year, it’s all about college football for Texas A&M fans. But as we get into football season, it’s never too early to start making plans for the bye week – and luckily, Live At The Station has got you covered.
The festival made their debut last year with a sold-out experience featuring names like Zach Bryan, Flatland Cavalry and Treaty Oak Revival.
And this year, they’re once again bringing that red dirt country flair – while also featuring one of Nashville’s hottest up-and-coming superstars.
Live At The Station is returning to the Snook Rodeo Grounds in College Station on October 12. And the 2024 edition of the festival will feature headliners Turnpike Troubadours, alongside Megan Moroney, Wyatt Flores, Hudson Westbrook, and Texas grunge rocker Aaron McBee.
With the summer that Megan Moroney’s had, including opening up for Kenny Chesney and dropping her insanely viral sophomore album, Am I Okay?, it’s safe to say that the Emo Cowgirl will be headlining these festivals herself sooner rather than later.
In fact, you may even get to hear new music from Megan by October: Just today, she teased a new song that seems to be a follow-up to her song “Third Time’s A Charm.”
Of course Wyatt Flores is also one of the hottest acts out there right now, and he just announced his long-awaited debut album Welcome To The Plains will be dropping on October 18, so there’s a good chance you’ll get a sneak peak of some new music from the album at the festival too.
But any festival in Texas needs some Lone Star State flair, and up and comer Hudson Westbrook has been blowing up recently with his stone-cold country sound and songs like “5 to 9” and “Take It Slow.” So along with Aaron McBee, this lineup is sure to feature something for everybody, whether your favorite country comes from Texas and Oklahoma or Nashville.
Seems like a good reason to book a trip to College Station.
And to go along with the killer lineup, organizers are making some big changes in response to feedback from fans who attended last year.
The festival has partnered with Feti, a local company that will provide free shuttle service to and from the venue. And they’ve also worked extensively with local officials to come up with a traffic plan to make coming and going to the event a breeze for festival goers.
Of course Texas is still plenty warm in the fall, so they’ve also added free water stations throughout the venue so that fans can make sure to stay hydrated while they’re partying. And this year, attendees will be able to party even longer with gates opening earlier, which leaves more time for another new addition for 2024: Bull riding.
The festival is also conveniently scheduled for A&M’s bye week, so if you’re looking for plans in College Station during your weekend off, this is going to be one hell of a party.
