Reba Wants To Join The Marvel Universe: “My Superpower Would Be Able To Talk To Animals”

Reba is already thinking about expanding in the cinematic and TV space.

Reba McEntire returned to scripted TV with the launch of her new sitcom Happy’s Place. The highly anticipated premiere of the series brought an astonishing ten million views to Peacock. Still, fans were mildly disappointed when the show was not as thrilling as they thought it would be. Acting alongside her Reba castmate, Melissa Peterman, fans were hoping it would be more like the original Reba sitcom that made them fall in love with her acting crossover. While there was disappointment there, there were not any horribly negative reviews, with most viewers noting they thought it was sweet and enjoyable.

“Watched first episode on Peacock. Love the bar ambiance and cozy set up. Pilot was about introducing characters and pretty much engaging with the plot.

Love to see Queen Reba with her own show with Melissa by her side! Comedy at its best! Rex funny as always, and natural like previous shows.”

However, Reba is shooting for the stars on what might be next for her despite how Happy’s Place performs. The Voice coach, actress, and country music sensation opened up about where she hopes she can one day make her way into the Marvel universe.

McEntire stopped by SiriusXM’s Hits 1 to chat about her new sitcom Happy’s Place, and when host Ben Harlum asked about her dream role, she confidently replied it would be in a Marvel movie.

“I’d love to do a Marvel comic. I wanna be a like, female Reba McEntire Power Ranger or something like that in a Marvel movie.”

Although Hasbro owns Power Rangers, Marvel has published comic adaptations of the super heroic group. Harlum then followed up by asking McEntire if she had thought about what she’d want her superpower to be. And in true Reba fashion, she came prepared.

“My superpower would be able to talk to animals. Wouldn’t that be fun?”

That’s something I can get behind. Given Reba’s vast background in rodeoing and her upbringing on a farm working cattle, talking to animals seems like a natural choice for her superpowers.

Anyone who has ever spent time showing animals or competing in the rodeo circuit knows that the bond between animal and rider or competitor sometimes feels supernatural. Although you are not physically communicating with them, you pick up on their body language and how they respond in certain situations, and you, without a doubt, learn to speak with them nonverbally.

Reba’s superpower to speak to animals verbally would turn any little animal-crazed kid’s dream into a reality.

Marvel, this needs to happen. Imagine your viewing numbers if you pulled Reba into a project. It would be off the charts.
