What a way to kick off 2025.

Each year, Tulsa’s Cain’s Ballroom throws a massive party for the brave souls who were not wiped out from New Year’s Eve, or maybe you were and you can rally, and make it back out.

Today, the historic venue released its lineup, and it is kicking off 2015 with a lineup stacked with some of Oklahoma’s best.

BJ Barham, Wade Bowen, Cody Canada, Evan Felker, John Fullbright, Robert Earl Keen, Mike McClure, Jamie Lin Wilson, and others are set to take the stage.

The night starts at 7:30 and will go on until the music stops.

Now, if you are like me and saw this lineup, yes, you thought of how the night would be wildly entertaining as every artist on this roster has talent oozing out of their fingertips. But if you are also like me, then your mind immediately saw Cody Canada and Evan Felker’s names next to each other and saw this as a test run for what April’s Boys From Oklahoma show will entail.

In October, Cross Canadian Ragweed announced their first show in over a decade, and in a big way. Set to take the stage of Oklahoma State’s Boone Pickens Stadium, the “Boys From Oklahoma” will also share the stage with the Turnpike Troubadours, The Great Divide, Jason Boland & The Stragglers, and Stoney LaRue. It will be an event filled with the top talent from Oklahoma.

The show was initially announced as a one-night-only event, but after seeing all the fans register for the presale, they extended it to two nights. But that wasn’t enough. With ticket demand through the roof, they expanded it to four nights in Boone Pickens, selling out each one. While fans are still hopeful this could mean later Ragweed dates to come if this event goes smoothly, Canada said it best that the world just needs a Ragweed reunion right now, and they’ve got to start somewhere.

“Stillwater needs it, the world needs it, America needs it, Jesus, we all need it. Let’s just do it; it’s gonna be fun, right?”

Regardless, seeing Cody Canada and Evan Felker on the same night will be one you won’t want to miss. Given that these two have shared a stage in the past, I would not be surprised if they sang a song or two together.

What a way to spend the first night of 2025. If you’re in the Tulsa area or need to get out of town after the holidays, I suggest you snag tickets while you can.

While you’re here, check out Evan Felker and Cody Canada performing “Long Hot Summer Day” together earlier this fall at California’s Ohana Fest.
