Fresh off six Grammy nominations, singer shares first new original track since breakout LP Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going

Fresh off receiving six nominations at the 2025 Grammys, Shaboozey is back with a new song fittingly titled “Good News,” the singer’s first original track since the release of his breakout 2024 LP Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going.

Shaboozey — who had been teasing “Good News” on social media over the past week — also shared the video for the mostly acoustic ballad,” featuring the singer and everyday people posing in front of a photo backdrop set up in the woods.

“Man, what a hell of a year it’s been,” Shaboozey sings at the onset, a lyric that could double as a statement on his meteoric rise to success following his appearances on Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter and his own record-breaking hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy).” “Head in bottle, but my heart in a cage/It’s gettin’ harder to act my age/Play a sad song on a tiny violin/For the man at the bar confessin’ his sins.”

Shaboozey himself received some good news last week when he scored six Grammy nominations, including Song of the Year and Best Country Solo Performance (for “A Bar Song (Tipsy)”) as well as Best New Artist.

“Today I woke up to 6 Grammy nominations!!! This moment is something I’ve dreamt about ever since I started recording music. Even with that said, nothing could’ve prepared me for the moment when I finally heard my name called today!” Shaboozey wrote on social media after the Grammy nominations were announced.

“I’m thankful for everyone who ever believed and took a chance on me. For those who looked out for me when I needed it the most. I’m grateful for every couch I slept on, every no I was ever told, every heartbreak, and every tear I shed over achieving my dreams. I’m thankful for everything! I wake up grateful every single day. Never give up on your dreams.”
