The update we were all waiting and hoping to hear.
Yesterday, country music singer Darryl Worley shared that his daughter, Savannah, had been in a serious car accident. The “Have You Forgotten?” singer was out in New Mexico for a show when he got the scary call from his wife Kimberly that their daughter had been life flighted to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.
In the post that he shared yesterday, Worley asked for prayers and said that he was immediately flying back to Nashville to be with his family. He also shared photos of the cars that were in the accident, which caused his daughter to suffer from a broken leg, bruising and various lacerations:
“I’m humbly coming to y’all with an a very serious request! I’m flying back to Nashville from a show in New Mexico! Kimberly called and said Savannah had been in a bad wreck and was being life flighted to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville!
She has a broken leg, bruises, and lacerations! Please pray for her and pray I can get home to be with my baby girl and Kimberly! Also pray for the lady in the other car! I don’t have any details on the accident but just ask you to pray!! Thank you! Swipe to see the cars!”
As you can see, both cars in the crash were totaled, and getting a picture like that of your daughter’s car when you are halfway across the country has to be a father’s worst nightmare.
Fortunately, the update on Savannah that Darryl Worley provided today was very positive and promising. The country artist evidently made it back to Nashville rather quickly, and was there at Vanderbilt Medical Center when his daughter came to following the accident.
Worley shared a picture of his 16-year-old daughter in her hospital bed seeming to be in good spirits, along with this message:
“May be raining today but my sunshine is awake with a little smile on her face! It’s been a rough few days but we know God is in control and shielded Savannah in all of this! Not sure when she will get to go home, but today looks a lot better than yesterday or the day before!”

Prayers have been answered.
As Worley alluded to in his most recent update, his daughter Savannah still has a long road to recovery. But it seems as though she’ll be released from the hospital soon (though Darryl admitted he didn’t how soon that would be), and the 16-year-old will be able to heal up in due time.
Darryl Worley and his wife, Kimberly, have been married since 2007, and Savannah is their only child. The country music singer, famous for songs like “When You Need My Love,” “A Good Day To Run,” and his 2002 No. 1 hit “I Miss My Friend,” has had somewhat of a challenging 2024. Earlier this year, a barn on his property caught fire and burned down “a lot of memories” – but luckily, all of the animals inside were saved.
