EDM/House Artist Irene Michaels & TRAX Records Donate Proceeds of “I Like Rain” to LA Fire Victims

Business, California, Music

As the flames of devastation continue to ravage Los Angeles, EDM/House Artist Irene Michaels has allocated the proceeds of her multi-award winning hit “I Like Rain” along with the TRAX Record Label who also agreed to donate their end of the proceeds as well. The song is a fitting sound for the devastation as the LA communities prayed for rain to no avail.

First responders have been working tirelessly to contain the active wildfires erupting across the county. The death toll stands at 24 people and in the Palisades alone the fire has claimed 53,000 structures, including homes, apartment buildings, and businesses. Countless people have lost their schools, places of worship, and their memories that they have collected for a lifetime. The fire is reported as being the most destructive in Los Angeles history.

Irene Michaels and “I Like Rain” co-written by Composer Michael Levine won “Best Pop Song of the Year” at the Josie Music Awards at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville in 2023, and the Get Out Magazine Award in New York City also in 2023. President Rachael Cain of the iconic TRAX Record Label, based in Chicago says “Our hearts go out to the people of Los Angeles, and we just wanted to do something to help.” Irene Michaels quoted “My heart is with you, my prayers are with you, I’m here for any of you.”

Additionally, how while streaming might not generate an enormous amount of revenue IF EVERY LABEL JUMPS ON THE BAND WAGON AND DONATES THE PROCEEDS FROM JUST ONE ARTIST IT COULD MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
