Shoot your shot, I guess.
This morning, Kid Rock, a longtime supporter of President Donald Trump, appeared on BBC News (British Broadcasting Corporation), to talk about the inauguration and his friend, President Trump.
Well, things took a turn pretty quickly during his TV hit, when reporter Caitríona Perry was caught very off guard by the bold question from Kid, that had nothing to do with the topic at hand. Kid Rock started interviewing her, basically, asking where she was and what she was doing:
“What about you, what are you doing? Where are you at?”
Perry responded by explaining that she was outside in freezing temperatures, trying to stay warm with the Capitol building behind her in the shot:
“Well, I’m standing on a rooftop in these very, very chilly conditions and will be on air for 11 or 12 hours, so I don’t think I’ll have anywhere near as fun of a day as you have planned for yourself there. That sounds like you got the better day here, indeed.”
He pressed her, saying he didn’t know what she looked like because he couldn’t see her…
“I mean, I can’t see you right now so I don’t know what you look like.”
Perry was super professional, probably knowing where he was going with this and playing it off, answering his question pretty plainly:
“Well, I look like I’m ready to hit the slopes, I can tell you, I’m in full-on ski gear here with my hat, gloves the whole thing ready to rock ‘cuz you gotta be wrapped up against the elements, don’t ya?”
Of course, being a BBC reporter, she has a really cool accent and is a pretty lady, so Kid wasted no time in asking her if she wanted to go skiing with him because she sounds “sexy,” even though he couldn’t see what she looked like:
“I love to go skiing, I love to go skiing, you sound sexy, you wanna go with me?”
Honestly, this is probably what Europeans hate about Americans, but you never know what’s going to come out of his mouth so that was definitely a “interview at your own risk” type of situation…
“Well, we won’t get into that right here, so we’re doing no skiing today, we’ve got a day of broadcasting to do. But Kid Rock, thank you so much for joining us here on BBC News. Enjoy your day.”
Kid AKA Bob Ritchie laughed as he ended the TV appearance, saying:
“God bless.”
It was pretty awkward (well, I don’t think Kid Rock cared at all), but Perry handled it well and honestly it’s the funniest thing I’ve seen today.
Shooters shoot, and Kid Rock is certainly one of a kind. I think he was probably just messing with the Brits some too, but either way, I don’t think the European mind can really comprehend this, honestly…
I see a day of potentially wild TV moments has started early. Within minutes of appearing on BBC News, Kid Rock’s interview descends into him hitting on host Caitríona Perry. pic.twitter.com/5N8MpQ3rDK

In another recent interview leading up to the inauguration today, Kid Rock revealed during an appearance on Fox News’s Fox and Friends Weekend that the President and First Lady Melania Trump had called him because they got wind that the Secret Service had to squash his idea that he could use strippers during a rally-style event at DC’s Capital One Arena yesterday.
He said it was “mind-blowing,” and I think that’s putting it mildly:
“Friday morning I got a call from the president and Melania [Trump] and it was kind of mind-blowing, I’ve tried to leave him alone, he’s got a lot on his plate, I would think, right now. He called and he goes, ‘Did the Secret Service really tell you that you can’t use strippers?’”
Obviously, he assured the President that it was a joke:
“No, sir, I was just joking around.”
Kid said the President though it was funny, and responded like so:
“Ah, that’s funny.”
Never a dull moment with anything Kid rock does…
Here’s the interview:
