A man of his word…
While the Swifties were busy hoping Pat Mahomes, Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs would punch their ticket to the Super Bowl for the 3rd straight year, Zach Bryan fans were praying for an Eagles win. Why? Because Zach promised that he would release a new song titled “Blue Jean Baby” if the Birds could win the NFC Championship today.
And… they did.
Like most Zach Bryan tunes, clips of the song were shared last year, but it immediately became a fan favorite, and his eager listeners were just begging from him to drop the full studio cut (also like most Zach Bryan tunes). In addition to dropping the new song, he revealed that he WILL have an EP and a new album out by the end of the year. I think we all kind of assumed he would have something out this year, but it’s nice to hear it straight from the horse’s mouth.
“BIRDS WIN. OUT AT MIDNIGHT. SEE YALL IN NEW ORLEANS. EP AND ALBUM BY THE END OF THE YEAR.”
He followed it up by saying:
“‘Blue Jean Baby’ was a demo that turned into half a song that people have been asking for for a long time. Praying no one expects anything more than that out of it. Excited it’ll be out into the world.”
Written and produced by Zach himself, “Blue Jean Baby” is right in the Zach Bryan wheelhouse with rather minimal production, a boot stompin’ melody, and that anthemic energy that we have come to know and love from Zach. It’s the kind of song you and your buddies crank up and sing at the top of your lungs when you pile into the truck and are on your way to make some bad decisions. You already know you’re getting home when the sun is coming up…
Here’s a quick look at the chorus:
“American girls love goodbyes
And I’ve been gettin’ by on pinin’ for it
I need to rest my eyes
It’s a long way home and it’s four in the morning
It’s a long way home and it’s four in the morning…”

In addition to “Blue Jean Baby,” Zach previously announced that he’ll be releasing a reimagined version of Jack Van Cleaf’s “Rattlesnake” on Wednesday (January 29th) featuring Jack himself. It’s unclear if either of these songs, or the two he released amid his public break up from Barstool Sports personality Brianna LaPaglia, AKA Brianna Chickenfry, last fall, will be on this upcoming album.
Late last year, Zach dropped “High Road” and “This World’s A Giant” and also confirmed in his conversation with Bruce Springsteen that he had a number of songs already written for his next album.
More recently, Zach teamed up with Matthew McConaughey once again to announce a video project titled “Motorbreath,” that would capture a 2-week motorcycle ride with him and his best friends as they recorded “one final major label album.”
“This is not a film about a band, this is a film about a boy from Oklahoma. A boy who joined the Navy, with a love of writing. That writing connected with people, a lot of people. This film is about a group of best friends taking a two-week motorcycle ride across America, while recording one final major label album. Oh, and the title of the film you ask? ‘Motorbreath.’”
Zach Bryan Tour Dates
Zach’s tour schedule is expected to be very limited this year compared to last year, and so far, ZB has announced only a few shows for 2025. The Oklahoma native sold out three nights at MetLife Stadium with the Kings of Leon as his supporting act, and he recently announced that he will head to the west coast as well. On August 15th, Zach Bryan will perform with the Kings of Leon, Turnpike Troubadours and Noeline Hofmann at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.
“Felt wrong to give New York some of our only shows next year. See you guys in San Francisco.”
