Zach Bryan To Play First Ever Concert At Michigan Stadium With John Mayer, Ryan Bingham & More

Headed to The Big House.

Today, it was announced that Zach Bryan will headline a show at the University of Michigan’s Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor this fall. John Mayer, Ryan Bingham and the Texas Gentlemen and Joshua Slone are on the bill as openers, and when you’ve reached the point of having acts like Kings of Leon and John Mayer open for you… that’s when you know you’ve made it.

Zach and Mayer collaborated previously on “Better Days,” which was featured on Bryan’s 2024 The Great American Bar Scene album.

According to the UM Instagram, it will be the first-ever concert at Michigan Stadium, and Zach shared the news too with a caption saying how thankful he is to do so:

“Playing in Ann Arbor with some heroes and good pals of mine! Tickets go on sale Friday. I love you guys so much and the links in my bio Thankful is an understatement.”

The Oklahoma native is slated to play just a handful of shows this year, and he recently shared a little bit on why he is slowing down in terms of a massive, extensive tour this year. On his Instagram stories, he said in part that he wants to “feel human again”:

“Life gets hard and easy and confusing all at once sometimes. Losing people in my life has made me truly realize how rare it is to be breathing. Hug your families and lovers and little kiddos extra tonight.

I wanted to quit long tours because I want to feel like a human again. I’m getting back slowly and surely.  I want to travel the country coast to coast and the world ocean to ocean. I want to take advantage of the songs that are to come.”

But when it comes to a concert of this magnitude… you just can’t pass that up.

Michigan Stadium is the largest stadium in the U.S., and officially holds 107,601 people, although is has held crowds of more than 115,000. In June of 2024, George Strait packed 110,905 people into Texas A&M’s Kyle Field, breaking the record for the North American attendance record for ticketed concerts.

Considering there will be people packed on the field at Michigan Stadium too, that record will certainly be in-reach, and with this kind of lineup, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they manage to surpass The King, which feels kind of crazy to say, honestly.

Tickets for the show will go on-sale this Friday, February 14th via AXS:

Zach Bryan Tour Dates

Like I said, Zach’s tour schedule is expected to be very limited this year compared to last year, and so far he only has a few shows for 2025. The Oklahoma native sold out three nights at MetLife Stadium with the Kings of Leon as his supporting act, and he recently announced that he will head to the west coast as well. On August 15th, Zach Bryan will perform with the Kings of Leon, Turnpike Troubadours and Noeline Hofmann at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.

He’s been teasing and releasing a lot of new music, and promises to release an EP called With Heaven On Top sooner rather than later.
