CoJo knows how to put on a show.
Last night, Cody Johnson headlined Nashville’s Bridgestone area, and anytime a major star is performing in Music City, you can always count on some famous faces to show up and surprise the crowd.
And CoJo delivered.
He brough out Carrie Underwood for a surprise duet of their current single, “I’m Gonna Love You,” but then he closed out the show with another special guest, perhaps one that was a little more unexpected. I mean, as great as Carrie is, it’s not a stretch that she might show up. After all, she lives there in Nashville and they have a Top 10 single at country radio together.
But Luke? Little bit out of left field. Especially given the fact that they performed Luke’s smash single, “Beer Never Broke My Heart.” Certainly wouldn’t have been on my bingo card. Nevertheless, Luke walked out and it was ELECTRIC.

Of course, if you’re gonna do a song like that, you gotta shotgun a beer together.
CoJo looked a little rusty, but then again, nobody can compete withy Luke when it comes to downing a cold beer… the man is a machine at deleting beers. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen someone shotgun a beer faster than him and I’ve been covering this stuff since before Luke ever released a single to country radio.
