Riley Green Teases Unreleased Heartbreaker “My Way” And Fans Are Already Begging For It

Music

A Riley Green specialty.

The Alabama native is teasing new music, and he shared a beautiful new unreleased song called “My Way” on Instagram a few hours ago, which finds him reflecting on heartbreak and wishing he could fix what went wrong.

He filmed the video with a simple acoustic guitar, and most of his fans know he loves to tease new music that way, and I always enjoy hearing the songs in their purest form. With Riley’s last two albums, Ain’t My Last Rodeo and Don’t Mind If I Do, he has really been putting out some elevated songs that feel deep and meaningful, but also true to who he is as an artist, and this one is no exception.

Riley often talks about being drawn to classic country heartbreakers, and he tends to like to write that way himself, and as someone who equally enjoys those kinds of songs, it’s one of my favorite things about his music:

“If I had it my way,
I’d be watching your eyes turn from brown to hazel right now
Way they did on that back porch swing
When the sky turned red watching the sun go down
There’d be a field full of fireflies watching us lost time making up
You’d be in my arms, we’d still be in love
If I had it my way”

It’s unclear who the writers are on this one, I’m sure Riley’s one of them and there might one or two other co-writers, but I think we might have more new music coming from him this year and I can’t wait.

He doesn’t miss… check it out:

Riley is gearing up to hit the road for his extensive Damn Country Music tour this year, which features Ella Langley as direct support and other openers in Jake Worthington, Drake White and more.
