Braxton Keith is letting fans know how he gets the perfect mustache.
Aside from Zach Top’s luscious stach, Braxton Keith is another newcomer who has the ladies drooling over his facial hair. Zach Top keeps his mustache short and trimmed, perfectly covering his upper lip, but Keith, being the Texan he is, adds some flair to his.
The “Cozy” singer has women hypnotized by the curled-up edges of his stache. However, Keith’s mustache does not have a natural curl, so he told CMT fans during a recent interview how he perfects his facial hair before hitting the stage.
“I’m Braxton Keith, and I’m about to let you in on my stash of mustache tips.”
After the introduction to the seminar, Keith wastes no time letting fans know what he uses to wax his mustache and why he chooses the products he likes.
“First off, there’s three different things that you can use to wax your mustache. Traditional mustache wax, balm like a hair blam, and then there’s the old famous Elmer’s Glue, okay.”
Hang on a second. That glue we used growing up for arts and crafts? Yes, folks, you heard that right. Keith then goes on to share that this and the hair balm are his products of choice because they are water-soluble, meaning they wash out when you put water on them.
“The problem with mustache wax that a lot of people have is that you have to use oil to get it out of your stache after you’re done with the show. That takes too long.
You either get you that purple, fast drying Elmer’s Glue stick that is water-soluble. Or you get you that hair balm, extra firm hold that’s also water-soluble. You get you a little bit of that in the mustache that’s gonna hold for a good 4 to 5 hours. That’s all you need now, folks.
And then get your face underneath that sink, give her a little rinse, and she’s gonna come right out.”
Keith offers his fellow mustache-sporting men some simple advice on how to keep their style fresh without causing unwanted acne or skin issues.
“Don’t touch it. Just leave it alone. That’s my advice. Just leave it alone. You won’t have any pimples or acne, and it won’t be falling out. You’ll be alright.”
Who would have thought that in a world of overconsumption and products galore, all you need to have a mustache as sharp as Braxton Keith’s is an Elmer’s Glue stick?
