Jelly Roll Reveals He’s Dropped Almost 200 Pounds: “Gonna Lose Another 100 Pounds & Then Go Skydiving With My Wife”

Jelly Roll’s health injury continues to be inspiring.

The rapper-turned-country-artist has come a long way since he first crossed over into the country music genre. After getting past other hinderances in his life – like incarceration and addiction – Jelly Roll has described losing weight as the “last mountain” that he has to conquer

And he’s doing a pretty incredible job of climbing that mountain so far.

Just last October, he made it public that he had already lost 100 pounds. What was his secret? He had hired a nutritionist, making sure he puts only good things into his body, and paired that with increased exercise – through walking and playing basketball with his crew while out on tour.

Earlier this year, he put out a video on social media inviting fans to join the Losers Run Club, and gave another update on his health journey:

“I can’t even begin to describe to people how much better, how much more mentally focused I am, how clear-headed I am, more energetic I am, the happier I am with life in general now that I’m eating healthy exercising, cold plunging.

It’s possible y’all. It’s not overwhelming, it’s just dedicating a little time every day and a little more time than you did before the next day.”

Fast forward to last night, at Pat McAfee’s “Big Night Aht,” and Jelly Roll had yet another commendable update about his weight loss. The sports personality brought out “Save Me” singer and immediately brought Jelly’s transformation into the spotlight. Pat said that Jelly Roll – whose real name is Jason DeFord – looked like he had lost an entire person of poundage.

That’s when the Nashville native revealed that as of April 2025, he’s already almost lost another 100 pounds, and he plans to keep dropping as much weight as he can:

“I started at 540 pounds and I was 357 pounds this morning, baby. I’m gonna lose another 100 pounds and go skydiving with my wife in Sweden.”

Hearing that roar of support from the crowd in Pittsburgh was pretty cool, eh?

Jelly Roll has always been an inspirational story (go watch any of his acceptance speeches), and the latest update in his health journey is yet another moment that people can look up to. The crowd at the event was in full support of Jelly, and the crowd on social media was just as supportive:
