Promoted to dad.
Earlier this year, Koe Wetzel and his longtime girlfriend Bailey Fisher announced that they were expecting their first child.
“Our sweetest blessing. Just over halfway with baby girl.”
On a recent episode of Whiskey Riff Raff, Koe shared that he and Fisher have been on and off for about a decade.
“We met in college. We’ve kind of been on and off for the last 10 years or whatever. I don’t know, it just kind of came back around. It’s a wild story. It’s crazy.
I’m about to be 33 in July, and kind of settling down and stuff, I don’t think it could have happened at a better time. This could have happened back when I was 23 or 24 acting the way I was and not having a dollar to my name.”

Even if fans knew about their history, they were still shocked to see this announcement. The post not only broke the internet but also broke the hearts of women across the world.
While Koe kept pregnancy updates low-key after the announcement, Fisher, on the other hand, kept everyone informed on how her pregnancy was going, from the details of their baby shower to their babymoon in Hawaii. She was giving us top-notch content, and I was living for it. I have to give it to Fisher, the old wives’ tale about being pregnant with a girl means they take all your beauty, did not apply to her. She was glowing in every post that I saw.
While the two never announced the child’s due date, given Fisher shared they were over halfway through the pregnancy with the post that broke the internet, fans knew that her due date was getting close. Before Memorial Day Weekend, Wetzel took to Instagram to share that he could not perform for the opening night of the HARDY: Jim Bob World Tour. Wetzel shared the following on his music’s Instagram page:
“Hey y’all,
Unfortunately, due to a family medical event, I’ve got to get back to Texas. We hate to have to miss the first weekend of the Jim Bob World Tour with our brother HARDY, so make sure y’all show Stephen Wilson Jr. & McCoy Moore all the love.
Hoping to get back out next week and party with y’all in Salt Lake City, Utah. Thanks for understanding.
Much love and see you soon.
Koe.”
Fans quickly began to speculate that Fisher was going into labor and he was dipping out to be there for the birth of his daughter.
“IS IT BABY WETZEL TIME?”
“Dad mode engaged.”
“Must be baby time!”
“Sending good vibes to you and mom and for a healthy baby!”
“It’s baby timeeeee.”
“Felicidades Papa Koe!!!!”
“BABY WETZEL ON THE WAY.”
“BABY TIME?!”
Fans were right about this, as Fisher just took to social media to share that their daughter made her debut.
“Woods Madison Wetzel
Born May 23rd, 6:49am | 5 pounds 11 ounces”
Fisher also shared a story post to her Instagram, noting that she was supposed to take pregnancy photos on the day she was born, but Woods had a different plan and decided it was time for her parents to meet her.
What a precious blessing. Congrats to Koe and Bailey, we are so happy to see that the baby and mom are healthy.
And for the fans… you’ll be happy to know that Koe has no plans to slow down his music output or touring.
“I don’t really have any plans (to slow down) right now…. I’m sure once I see that baby girl, I’m probably gonna rethink it a little bit. But I love playing music. I love being out on the road.
Like I said, I got a lot of people depending on me. I love getting out there and playing for the fans. So I don’t know, I say that now, but next time I holler at you all it’ll probably be a little different.”
Now, I need to mentally prepare for Koe’s dad songs because I am sure that little girl already has him wrapped around her finger.
