He just there for the show or something?
Brantley Gilbert wasn’t happy with a security guard at a recent show, after he just stood there and failed to help out when a woman passed out in the crowd.
It all went down during Brantley’s show last night at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino in Cherokee, North Carolina. A woman apparently suffered a medical emergency while Brantley was performing “Son of the Dirty South,” and without missing a beat he directed security and medical personnel to assist while asking the crowd to make room to help her out.
But he also noticed that one security guard didn’t exactly spring into action.
After the woman was taking care of, Brantley walked over to the side of the stage and threw his hands up at the security guard, asking what the deal was and why he didn’t help. And after the song was over, he decided to address it with the guy personally, walking off the stage and confronting the security guard for just standing there and not helping clear the crowd out of the way – or doing anything.
Once he got back on stage, Brantley had some strong words for the guy:
“Hey dawg, let me explain something to you. I hate to embarrass you, but it don’t do you no good to stand here with a uniform on if you ain’t going to do sh-t. Go on somewhere. Bye.”
Brantley checked with the crowd to make sure everybody was good, shaking his head at the security guard, before once again expressing his disappointment:
“Got 10,000 people in security shirts and just gonna f—in’ stand there.”
@brookec625 Brantley Gilbert stopping mid song for a women passed out, and then cusses the security guard of the casino 🤪 #brantleygilbert #concerts #tattoos
Of course it’s not the first time Brantley’s had to stop a show for a medical issue…but the last time it happened it was for the birth of his child.
Last fall in Tupelo, Mississippi for a show on his Off The Rails tour, Gilbert got word that his next child was ready to make his grand entrance.
Hey, babies have their own schedule.
Gilbert rushed off stage mid-show to be with his wife, who was in the tour bus with her midwife ready to give birth. And he then returned to the stage a little while later to share the good news:
“We got a baby Mississippi!”
@jenniferminor89 @Brantley Gilbert’s heartwarming baby announcement upon returning to the stage after security rushed him off stage about an hour before so he could be by his wife’s side in the tour bus when their son was born. His reaction definitely made the wait worth it! #brantleygilbert #adamcalhoun #demunjones #tupelo #elvispresley #happybirthday #babyboy #live #offtherails #bg #tour ♬ original sound – Jennifer Hopper
Brantley was obviously emotional when he got back out there, getting hugs from his entire band and crew. And he was still shaking as he explained to the crowd that he got to catch his baby boy as he was being born in the tour bus in the parking lot of a show in Tupelo, Mississippi.

And of course the crowd would have understood if he canceled the rest of the show, but he explained to his fans that he wanted to get back out there to celebrate with the people who have had his back throughout his entire career:
“I’m usually not this much of a b–ch, but…
But I gotta tell y’all, I know it seems crazy to come back out, and a lot of you moms are probably in here like, ‘What the f–k is wrong with this dude?’
But for 20 years this is the only life I’ve ever known. And I know a lot of you have been coming to shows for 20 years and had my back for 20 years, and I can’t imagine being anywhere else. God bless y’all, man.”
@lindseylou_ The fact that this man paused his show to go out & help deliver his kid being born then come back out to finish the show is a DEDICATED MAN who LOVES HIS FANS! So many tears were shed from him and the crowd! The best concert ever! #brantleygilbert #tupeloms #concerts ♬ original sound – Lindsey Dannielle Williamson🌸
Seems like Brantley Gilbert’s a good guy to have around during a medical emergency.
