Fear Factor has done it.
They finally found the perfect person to host the wacky show as it prepares for a comeback on FOX.
Gone is former host Joe Rogan, who is busy in the world of podcasts, and in his place is someone who would likely be game for all of the challenges.

For anyone unfamiliar with Fear Factor, it is a reality competition show in which players are forced to confront their fears.
It was the perfect show for a while, offering primetime something that viewers could discuss the next day.

Whether it be the gross things that people had to eat or the boldness needed to complete a challenge, Fear Factor was prime water cooler talk.
Now, I am ready for this new age of Fear Factor, where a fresh new host may help take the show to some uncharted territory.
A New Host For Fear Factor Reboot
Johnny Knoxville is the host of Fear Factor: The Next Chapter.

FOX has picked up the reboot, with Knoxville the perfect person to bring new eyes to it.
Although, honestly, many of the OG Fear Factor viewers likely enjoyed watching Knoxville’s antics on his shows.
Knoxville is best known for his daredevil antics on the MTV show Jackass.
He was also a key component in the impactful movies that spawned from the show.
And now Knoxville will be front and center as contestants try to complete challenges to win cash prizes.

How far will the show go this time? That’s a bold question.
I feel that I can safely assume that Knoxville could take on any of the challenges that will be offered on the show.
He has shown a willingness to eat anything, to put his body at risk, and to do what it takes to put together a great show.
I’m very excited to see how he helps elevate Fear Factor and what he has up his sleeves to differentiate it from what Joe Rogan presented.
What Does Fear Factor: The Next Chapter Offer to Viewers?
Variety reported that Fear Factor: The Next Chapter will air on FOX during the 2025-2026 television season.

And some of the early differences for the show could prove more exciting than the first iteration.
This time around, the contestants will be forced to live together.
I like the prospect of the dynamics shifting based on possible alliances formed within the living quarters.
It has also been revealed that a social media element will be introduced to the show.
Maybe fans will get to vote on what upcoming contestants have to eat or what they will have to do during a challenge.
That could be a fun way to involve the viewers a bit more and to help draw more eyes to successive episodes.
“We’ll be pushing fear and social strategy to places that will redefine reality competition, which makes Johnny the perfect host for what will be a wild, unforgettable ride, and we’re beyond excited to see him unleash all the fear (and the fun) on our contestants and our viewers,” Sharon Levy from the production company stated.
I’m sold. Now, who’s with me?
