From East Side Buffalo to the Global Stage

TheRealSkitso is making major noise in Hip Hop—not just from his hometown streets of Buffalo, New York, but now across international borders. His latest career milestone sees him joining West Coast veteran Kokane on an international tour, launching this August in Cartagena, Colombia. This comes on the heels of his BET Jams music video debut for the single “Well Connected,” which he produced and features Kokane, music’s most featured artist, and Tha Eastsidaz, and a celebrated appearance on LL Cool J’s Rock The Bells Radio, hosted by legendary MC Roxanne Shanté.

Radio Love and National Recognition

Earlier this year, the music video for Skitso’s single “Well Connected,” featuring Kokane and Tha Eastsidaz, premiered on the BET Jams Mixtape Playlist—placing him firmly on the national radar. The self-produced track not only showcased his skill behind the boards but also his drive to connect coasts through authentic storytelling.

That story gained another level of validation when GRAMMY Award-winning Hip Hop legend Roxanne Shanté invited Skitso to appear on her ‘Have a Nice Day’ show on LL Cool J’s Rock The Bells Radio on SiriusXM. Shanté’s acknowledgement highlights Skitso’s cross-generational appeal and sparked fresh interest among radio programmers and digital curators.

Bridging Coasts with West Coast Icons

Expanding the single’s reach, Skitso tapped Dogg Pound legend Kurupt for the remix of “Well Connected.” The result was a bicoastal blend of raw lyricism and melodic funk. Kurupt’s verse added a sharp edge, while the original energy from Kokane and Tha Eastsidaz remained intact.

“This remix was about more than just sound,” said Skitso. “It was about creating cultural bridges. That’s what Hip Hop has always done best.”

Mentorship and Movement with Kokane

A major element in Skitso’s recent success is his mentorship under Kokane. Introduced as the new face of Bud E Boy Music, Skitso is viewed by Kokane as the next wave of artists carrying the soul of Hip Hop forward.

“He reminds me of what we stood for—passion, community, and the grind,” said Kokane. “That’s why we’re taking this global.”

Global Tour Kicks Off in Cartagena

This August, Skitso will officially take his message to the world as he joins Kokane on tour, starting in Cartagena, Colombia. The move marks Skitso’s first international stage appearance and affirms his expanding influence within both U.S. and global markets. With growing support from fans, DJs, and iconic figures in Hip Hop, the tour signals a new chapter in his journey—from East Side Buffalo to the world stage.

More Than Music: A Mission to Connect

For The Real Skitso, every verse and every beat is rooted in purpose. Whether it’s navigating adversity or collaborating with legends, his mission remains consistent: to tell real stories and connect people through sound.

“I want my music to be a bridge,” he said. “From Buffalo to Cali, and now across oceans. This is only the beginning.”
