Some lanes on the 110 Freeway in Highland Park will remain closed into Tuesday afternoon due to a law enforcement investigation.
At about 10:30 a.m., police and firefighter-paramedics responded to a report of a woman who jumped or fell from the Avenue 60 overpass in the community northeast of downtown Los Angeles. The woman was struck by by at least one car and suffered grave injuries, authorities said.
All northbound lanes were closed between Avenue 52 and Avenue 60 before one lane reopened at about 11 a.m. Other lanes were expected to remain closed for two to three hours.
