Riley Green and Carly Pearce lit up Nashville on Friday night, and fans were anything but disappointed

The Big Machine concert in Downtown Nashville felt like it practically shut the city down. On top of Riley and Carly, Rascal Flatts also hit the stage, and the best part? It was completely free. Just one of those perks of living in Music City.

The highlight of the night came when Green and Pearce teamed up for an emotional performance of “Don’t Mind if I Do.” The two locked eyes as they sang, delivering the kind of connection you want in a love song. Their voices blended effortlessly, and fans were eating it up.

The TikTok comments say it all:

“Yes! I hope they do a song together”

“This moment will be forever engrained into my heart”

“I would have loved to see this live”

While the chemistry between Carly and Riley works, some fans couldn’t help but note that nothing quite compares to when Riley sings the track with Ella Langley. And that’s to be expected… fans get VERY protective of their favorite artists.

Still, Carly held her own and delivered a killer performance.

This wasn’t even the first time Carly stepped in on this duet. Back in April, she performed “Don’t Mind if I Do” with her label mate in what turned into a pretty memorable moment. Carly admitted she had to quickly refresh herself on the lyrics before hitting the stage, but what could have been a train wreck ended up turning into magic.

Once again, everyone was on board though. One commenter wrote:

“Why is she singing Ella’s part?”

Fair question, but Ella Langley isn’t out on tour at the moment, and Carly is more than capable of stepping in. Folks act like you’re cheating if you sing a song with someone else. Fans in Nashville weren’t complaining.

At the end of the day, this duet only added fuel to the fire. Riley Green and Carly Pearce clearly have something special when they share the stage, and it feels like we’re long overdue for these two to release a song together.
