Scott Wolf is back on Doc!
It’s been exciting to have Scott Wolf return to the series, and we got our first good look at the character again during a flashback on Doc Season 2 Episode 10.
But he’s not just appearing onscreen this season. He’s also taking a spin in the director’s chair!

And that episode has finally come. We already know that Doc Season 2 Episode 11 will be a pivotal episode in the story.
It’s teasing one that digs into Hannah, who has become this season’s biggest villain with her revenge plot against an unsuspecting Amy.
But the walls are closing in on Amy. Hannah’s quest for vengeance has gotten totally out of hand, and she’s on the brink of falling apart because of how intense things have gotten.
It’s not just Amy who’s affected by what’s happening at the hospital; the entire hospital is.
A turning point has been the loss of a teenage patient, in part because of the tampering that Hannah’s brother, Charlie, has done by hacking into the hospital system.
The guilt for which will most likely have Hannah spiraling out of control even further.

Amy’s personal and professional life are colliding in uncoformtable ways, and the prospect of how that’ll look onscreen is enough to have us eagerly awaiting the next installment.
It’ll mark Scott Wolf’s directorial debut for Doc (he’s previously directed Nancy Drew), and given how successful the series is, it surely won’t be his last.
We scored a behind-the-scenes clip of Scott Wolf discussing his experience with directing, and how he shifted from acting on the series to directing the very castmates and characters he also acts opposite of within the series.
He speaks passionately about his enthusiasm over this opportunity and the responsibility of being “the keeper of the entire story, not just one character.”
If we haven’t learned anything from chats with the Doc cast, it’s that their cast and crew are like family.
Unsurprisingly, the entire cast welcomed Wolf back with open arms and were just as excited about him having this opportunity as he was by it.
Of course, that only intensified the pressure for Wolf, not wanting to let these people whom he loved down.
He also speaks about how intimidating the process was, especially directing someone as esteemed as Felicity Huffman.
The process of switching from in front of the camera to behind it can be a big step, but I’m personally of the mind that often actors make some of the best directors. I’ve certainly witnessed the certain magic that can bring to a series, especially those that they’re so familiar with because they starred within it.
The upcoming episode, Family Matters, sounds intense.

The synopsis reads that:
The search for Amy’s hacker intensifies when the hospital finally brings in the FBI. Hannah, devastated by the death of her patient, works with Amy to treat a sick older man whose daughter believes has been poisoned. Meanwhile, Sonya and TJ examine middle school kids for scoliosis, and discover a child with a different ailment and a home situation that may’ve caused it to get much worse.
There’s a lot to explore and touch on within the hour, but it’s an exciting one for Wolf to dive into, and we can’t wait to see the fruits of his labor and that of the cast.
