The Ultimatum follows couples at a crossroads. In each duo, there is one partner who eagerly wants to get married, and another isn’t sure about the commitment yet. For the experiment, these couples break up and re-partner with other cast members for “trial marriages.” After their trial marriage, they go through the same process with their original partner to decide whether to get engaged or break up for good.
