Outlander: Blood of My Blood is bringing another character from the original series back to life as the prequel makes way for the introduction of a future Fraser family foe.
In the episode, “A Portion of My Soul,” Ellen (Harriet Slater) and Grace (Ruby Fubara) set out and ride across the Highlands in search of Brian (Jamie Roy) and Dougal’s (Sam Retford) forces amid the Jacobite Uprising of 1715. And new images are teasing what’s to come, including an appearance from Arch Bug (Terence Rae) and his wife Murdina (Sorcha Groundsell). As fans of the flagship series will recall, Murdina sought to steal from the Frasers, believing she and Arch were entitled to the Jacobite gold hidden within their walls, which ultimately led to a fight, and her demise.
In addition to Murdina’s resurrection, we’re breaking down what fans can expect from the episode. Scroll down for a closer look at the installment arriving Friday, October 9, which also seemingly includes some battlefield action for the men, among whom are Murtagh (Rory Alexander). Ellen and Brian are also getting some time to themselves amid the chaos, while Julia (Hermione Corfield) aligns herself with Davina (Sara Vickers) following the arrival of Seema (Lauren McQueen).
