Singin’ the blues.
Written by Roy Hawkins and Rick Darnell in 1951, “The Thrill Is Gone” became a huge hit for blues legend B.B. King in 1970.
Quite a few years back, the great Chris Stapleton (who knows his way around the blues more than most) delivered an acoustic cover at Station Inn in Nashville.
Joined by Jimmy Stewart on dobro, JT Cure on bass, and Ronnie Bowman on guitar, Chris gave folks a preview of the magic that was to come with the a release of his debut solo album Traveller just a few years later.
