The big news this month for Disney+ subscribers in the UK (as well as Europe, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Singapore) is the launch of Star. The new Disney brand brings a huge list of existing films and TV series to the streaming service, along with a few originals including new crime thriller Big Sky from Ally McBeal creator David E. Kelley and Love, Simon spin-off series Love, Victor. New to the UK is the first season of Solar Opposites, an animated sci-fi comedy from Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland (pictured above).
If you’re already a Disney+ subscriber in the territories listed above, you don’t have to sign up to anything else, just wait for the Feb 23 launch date and all this will be coming your way. As many of the titles are more adult than the previously available Disney+ fare, some new parental controls will also be made available. In total, you’re looking at 270 movies added, along with 75 new TV additions, some of which we’ve highlighted below.
