Coronavirus: L.A. County reported 1,514 new cases, 119 new deaths and 40 fewer hospitalizations as of March 10

Los Angeles public health officials reported 1,154 new cases of the coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases to 1,206,713 as of Wednesday, March 10.

Officials said there were 119 new deaths linked to the coronavirus, for a total 22,213 deaths since tracking began.

According to official counts, there were 1,179 hospitalizations as of Wednesday. That’s a 86.7% decrease from the Jan. 7 high of 8,098 people hospitalized.

A total of 2,618,961 vaccinations have been administered in the county as of Wednesday.

Data posted each day is preliminary and subject to change, officials emphasize. More information may become available as individual case investigations are completed.
