Carrie Underwood’s ‘My Savior’ Easter Concert Raised Over $110,000 For “Save The Children”

Music

Carrie Underwood absolutely wowed performing at  her live, virtual concert My Savior: Live From The Ryman on Easter Sunday.

She was joined by gospel singer CeCe Winans (who is also featured on the album), Bear Rinehart of NEEDTOBREATHE, and singers Mac McAnally and Buddy Greene.

She sang every song from the album and raised $112,650 for the charity Save The Children, which works in over 100 countries worldwide. All of the proceeds from the benefit will go towards helping “children all over the world grow up healthy, educated and safe.”

She said she just wants to give back what has been given to her:

“I have been given every open door that a person could be given and I am so blessed and so grateful. More than anything, I want to use those gifts to give back.”

And with the amount she raised for such a good cause, it’s going to help a lot of kids all over the world. It’s so refreshing to see an artist use their platform to really help people, which Carrie has done many times over the years, donating money to a multitude causes close to her heart. And her outstanding renditions of old gospel hymns at the mother church of country music on Easter? It was really something special.

She will be performing at the ACM awards with CeCe in a couple of weeks, and the new album also just recently dethroned Morgan Wallen after his 11-week run at the top of Billboard country charts.

It’s easy to see why it’s doing so well when you watch her sing these songs. Her show-stopping performance with CeCe singing “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” is incredibly powerful and I can’t wait to see the two of them sing together at the ACMs soon:

And her amazing performance of “Nothing But The Blood Of Jesus” with Bear Rinehart:
