Fire burns home on Tampa Avenue in Tarzana

It took 41 Los Angeles firefighters 24 minutes to extinguish a blaze late Friday at a single-story home in Tarzana.

A knockdown was declared at 9:45 p.m. for the fire on the 6200 block of Tampa Avenue, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.

Firefighters prevented the blaze from spreading to a nearby structure, Humphrey added.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. There were no injuries.
