Alan Jackson Releases Another Tear-Jerker Video Featuring His Late Mom, “Where Her Heart Has Always Been”

Music

Man, Alan’s got me teary eyed on a Thursday.

A few weeks ago, Alan Jackson released a lyric video for his new song “You’ll Always Be My Baby,” a song he wrote for his daughters’ weddings, and it could make a grown man sweat from his eyes as the video takes you through a timeline of his daughters growing up.

And now, he’s got us in our feelings once again, as he released another lyric video for “Where Her Heart Has Always Been,” a tribute to his late mother, written for her funeral. Similar to the video for “You’ll Always Be My Baby,” this one takes you through a timeline of Jackson and his mother, from birth ’til her death in 2017.

He’s writing straight from the heart on these two, and right now, his heart is all about his family. But then again, that’s nothing new for AJ.

We saw it back in the early 2000s when he released “Remember When,” a song about his wife, and “Drive,” which goes from his dad teaching him how to drive, to him teaching his own daughters.

Grab a box of tissues.
