Kelly Clarkson Does Joe Diffie Proud Singing “Prop Me Up Beside the Jukebox (If I Die)”

Music

Kelly Clarkson is at it again…

I mean, I’m pretty much convinced there’s nothing she can’t sing.

And she’s been known to sing a country song or two, recently honoring Garth Brooks and the Kennedy Center Honors with her favorite song of his, “The Dance.” But she’s also covered Reba, George Strait, Willie Nelson and others on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

This time, she crushed a cover of Joe Diffie’s iconic 1993 hit “Prop Me Up Beside the Jukebox (If I Die)” on her show and it was spectacular.

Not to speak for him, but I think Joe would’ve loved her rendition of his song. I mean, the girl has some PIPES on her.

Really though, when are we gonna get a country album from Kelly?

She can sing her ass off and at least she actually knows some real country songs. I’m not so sure the same could be said for a lot of the artists on the mainstream country charts right now…

Maybe she could treat us to “John Deere Green” next?
