HERMOSA BEACH — A man was killed in Hermosa Beach on Saturday and sheriff’s detectives were assisting the city’s police in the investigation.
The attack was reported about 4 a.m. on 15th Street at Hermosa Avenue, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Shawn Du Busky.
The victim was hit on the head by a blunt object and transported to a hospital, where he died, Du Busky said. His name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
A motive for the attack was unknown and no suspect description was available.
