Jon Pardi Releases Bad*ss Country Metal Version Of Metallica’s “Wherever I May Roam”

Music

For anybody who’s a fan of both metal and country music, I already know you’ve been anticipating this new revamped covers version of Metallica’s Black Album for some time now.

I mean how could you not? You’ve got some country-fied versions of the band’s hit songs with features from guys like Jon Pardi, Jason Isbell, Darius Rucker, Chris Stapleton, and so many more.

One of the latest releases?

None other than Metallica’s legendary head banger, “Wherever I May Roam,” covered by the California cowboy Jon Pardi.

Now I’ll be the first to say, I wasn’t sure about this one. Jon Pardi is a standout in the mainstream country music scene, and has covered several great country songs, but it’s hard for me to picture him singing a hard rock/metal song.

However, the man exceeded expectations by a mile.

The song brings a great combo of country fiddle and metal guitar, and needless to say, the man can hold his own.

I can’t wait to see what the rest of this album holds.
