Crash closes south 101 Freeway near Valley Circle Blvd.

WOODLAND HILLS — A multi-vehicle crash Friday morning left one person injured and prompted the closure of the southbound 101 Freeway in the Woodland Hills area, authorities said.

The crash was reported near Valley Circle Boulevard about 4:40 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. The injured person was taken to a hospital.

All lanes were closed for about an hour while crews worked to clear the scene. The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
