Kenny Chesney Officially Announces 2022 ‘Here And Now’ Stadium Tour, Adds Carly Pearce As Opener

Music

For two years in a row, Kenny Chesney has had to deliver the difficult news that he was postponing his stadium tour.

Originally scheduled for 2020 and then rescheduled for 2021, this past spring Kenny announced that he would be putting a pause on touring until 2022.

Well now there are only two months left in 2021, and the eight-time entertainer of the year is gearing up for his long-awaited Here And Now stadium tour, kicking off on April 23rd, 2022.

Needless to say, he’s stoked to get back on stage again:

“When we realized we weren’t getting to spend 2020 with No Shoes Nation, I never thought it would be three years until I would see my most favorite people in the world.

My favorite place in the world is anywhere we all come together. They come strong. They get loud. They love the music. But most importantly, they live life – every second – for all its worth!

They inspire me, and I want to get out there and get going, creating the greatest night of the summer every time we hit the stage.”

He also announced that Dan + Shay, Old Dominion, and Carly Pearce will all be hitting the road with him:

“Putting this line-up together has been awesome. We’ve got Dan + Shay, who continue to set records with their music and have been burning it up on their own headlining tour this year.

We have an old favorite, who just keep getting better, Old Dominion – it’s almost like it wouldn’t be a stadium show without them! – and one of my newest friends in Carly Pearce, whose songwriting is so personal to her own life, yet so many people find themselves in her songs.”

Let’s make this simple! It’s been a long time. No Shoes Nation moves around, shows up in lots of cities. So, to say thank you for being the most awesome people in the world, I thought this was a way to recognize the people who do more than one or two stadiums each summer!”

And while it’s pretty tough to get excited for a tour that features Dan + Shay and Old Dominion as openers, a Kenny Chensey summertime stadium show is a pretty good time. If it wasn’t for Carly opening the show, I’d say just spend an extra couple hours at the tailgate before heading inside…

The tour kicks off on April 23rd in Tampa, Florida at Raymond James Stadium, and rounding out at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts on August 27th.

The 2022 tour consists of the same stops originally slated for 2020 and 2021, along with the addition of Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Columbus, Ohio’s Historic Crew Stadium.
