Coronavirus: L.A. County reported 893 new cases and 35 new deaths, Nov.16

Los Angeles County public health officials reported 893 new cases of the coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases to 1,513,016 as of Tuesday, Nov. 16. The total number of cases represents 15% of Los Angeles County’s population.

Officials reported 35 more deaths linked to the coronavirus, for a total of 26,903 deaths since tracking began. The total number of deaths represents 0.26% of Los Angeles County’s population.

There were 32 more hospitalizations reported since Monday, bringing the total count of people hospitalized with coronavirus to 632.

According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 73% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated and more than 14,388,137 vaccine doses have been administered as of Nov. 16.
