Get ready to see Adele climbing up the country charts – with some help from Chris Stapleton.
The powerhouse duo released their duet version of Adele’s hit, “Easy On Me,” and it’s immediately being sent to country radio.
The collab with Stapleton is from the deluxe version of Adele’s new album, 30, which just dropped. (For now the deluxe version is only available at Target).
Adele’s solo version of the song is currently sitting at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 charts. But the Stapleton version of the song will be Adele’s first crack at the country charts.
Pretty smart to call on the guy who just won 4 CMA Awards to help you break into country radio.
She’s not exactly a stranger to country music though, having covered The SteelDrivers’ “If It Hadn’t Been For Love” as a bonus track for her album 21 – a song that was written and performed by Stapleton when he was the frontman for The SteelDrivers.
Something tells me that Adele’s first venture into the world of country radio is going to be a huge success. I mean, when you have two vocal powerhouses like Adele and Stapleton on one track, and a song that’s already a #1 hit, would you expect any less?
