Whiskey Myers Officially Goes Platinum With Three Songs Ahead Of Sold-Out Show At Red Rocks

Music

We’re barely halfway into 2022, and Whiskey Myers is already in for an epic year.

Coming off a sold out show with Shane Smith & the Saints and Read Southall Band at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, last night as part of their Tornillo Tour, the group has upped their already impressive resume another notch.

Whiskey Myers has officially announced they’ve gone RIAA Certified Gold with their song “Virginia,” and Certified Platinum with “Stone,” “Ballad of a Southern Man,” and “Broken Window Serenade.”

I’ll be the first to admit, those four songs are the songs that got me forever hooked on the kickass southern rock band, as I’m sure it was for many others, so it’s awesome to see them get the recognition they deserve.

That’s one helluva way to kickoff summer for a group that, along with a handful few others, is keeping rock and roll alive.

Not to mention, they’re in the wake of dropping their sixth studio album Tornillo, slated to drop July 29th, as they’ve already dropped “John Wayne,” “Antioch,” and “Whole World Gone Crazy.”

With Tyler Childers recently going Double Platinum with “Feathered Indians,” as well as Cody Jinks going Platinum, and now Whiskey Myers picking up four new certifications, it just continues to proves that you don’t need mainstream country radio, you don’t need a Nashville label, you don’t need corny talent television shows and TikTok videos to have success in this business.

And that’s GREAT news.
