Coronavirus: L.A. County reported 5,621 new cases and 12 more deaths, June 23

Los Angeles County public health officials reported 5,621 new cases of the coronavirus since Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases to 3,082,401 as of Thursday, June 23.

Officials reported  eight more deaths linked to the coronavirus since Wednesday for a total of 32,283 deaths since tracking began.

There were 11 more hospitalizations reported, bringing the total number of hospitalizations to 688.

According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 76% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated.
