Coronavirus: L.A. County reported 5,316 new cases and 13 more deaths, July 7

Los Angeles County public health officials reported 5,316 new cases of the coronavirus since Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases to 3,153,690 as of Thursday, July 7.

Officials reported 13 more deaths linked to the coronavirus since Wednesday for a total of 32,397 deaths since tracking began.

There were 69 more hospitalizations reported Thursday, bringing the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 to 989.

According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 76% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated.
