Coronavirus: L.A. County reported 5,170 new cases and 14 more deaths, July 12

Los Angeles County public health officials reported 5,170 new cases of the coronavirus since Monday, bringing the total number of cases to 3,183,359 as of Tuesday, July 12.

Officials reported 14 more deaths linked to the coronavirus since Monday for a total of 32,464 deaths since tracking began.

There were 132 more hospitalizations reported, bringing the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 to 1,153.

According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 76% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated.
