Los Angeles County Assessor Jeff Prang will host a Homeowners’ Resource Fair from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 28 at the Hacienda Heights Community & Recreation Center.
The event is free to the public and will address a variety of topics, including how to build accessory dwelling units (ADUs), how to save on your taxes, a comprehensive review of Proposition 19 and what to do when a property owner dies.
It will the second Resource Fair the Assessor’s Office has held since the COVID-19 pandemic hit more than two years ago.
The first one, held in May in Huntington Park, attracted hundreds of people from the local community and throughout the county along with dozens of elected officials. Prang is expecting a big turnout this time as well.
“You might want to register ahead of time,” he said. “This is a great opportunity for the public to discover the services available throughout the county.”

The Hacienda Heights Community & Recreation Center is located at 1234 Valencia Ave., Hacienda Heights.
The Resource Fair also will feature representatives from the office of L.A. CountySupervisor Hilda L. Solis, whose First District covers a large portion of the San GabrielValley.
