Watch Chris Stapleton & Miranda Lambert Sing “My Girl” Back in 2016

Music

Who knew that the one degree of separation between  Chris Stapleton and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was a Temptations song?

Seriously, every time I hear the song “My Girl,” I can’t help but think of that part of The Game Plan when The Rock leaves his daughter at a party.

And with his recent duet with Kelly Clarkson of the Loretta Lynn classic “Don’t Come Home A-Drinkin’ (With Lovin’ on Your Mind)” and this video of Chris Stapleton singing “My Girl,” I’m just saying that we need to see a collab soon.

I’m convinced that whenever I come across these random concert videos on YouTube, they’re like a small town restaurant. The sketchier they look, the better they are.

This video is no different. The angles are a little wonky and nothing is really in focus, but the audio sounds great.

And that’s all that really matters.

Chris Stapleton absolutely kills this cover with his raspy voice adding such personality and emotion to the already pretty sweet lyrics.

Seeing Morgane (his wife), Miranda Lambert, and (her ex) Anderson East team up to do a little dance next to Stapleton as he belts his heart out is pretty cute.

Honestly, the whole performance is just full of good vibes with the dance, Morgane and Miranda chatting and smiling together, and East and Stapleton having a mini belt-off about half-way through the song.

Of course, Chris Stapleton absolutely destroys his section of the song, and the crowd and everyone on stage rightfully loses their mind. It’s wonderful.

If you’re needing a little boost of dopamine, you gotta check out this video.
