The pantry at Prince of Peace Episcopal Church in Woodland Hills began in 1975 in a closet in the church’s kitchen. The pantry evolved in 1985 to a coalition of West San Fernando Valley churches and synagogues offering support.

Besides religious organizations, the San Fernando Valley Chapter of the National Charity League is one of the main secular supporters offering volunteers and donations.
