Megan Moroney is on a rocket to the moon right now.
Signs a record deal with Sony, Grand Ole Opry debut, announces debut album Lucky, reveals tracklist, and now we get another single release from the album.
This Friday, we get a new single from the shooting star of an artist, and it’s the single that named the album, “Lucky.”
Yesterday, Moroney took to Instagram to tease the upcoming title track, along with the announcement of the rest of the songs we can see on the album on May 5th and the promise of another single from the album coming on March 14th.
“The tracklist: ‘Lucky’ this Friday, ‘Girl In The Mirror’ 4/14, the album 5/5.”
The teaser of “Lucky” gives a sneak into the diverse sound of Megan Moroney. This honky tonk jukebox tune shows off much more traditional country roots than her last single, “I’m Not Pretty.”
I have had that single on repeat since its release, and I feel this might be the same for me.
She put a funny spin on a teaser on TikTok today, saying on a screen caption:
“CoUnTrY MuSiC iSnT CoUnTry AnYmOrE” well, I’m dropping this one on Friday.”
Then notes in the caption:
“Best part of the song.”

You can count me in on staying up till this honky tonk heartbreaker drops at midnight.
