National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive: Letter carriers accept nonperishable food donations by your mailbox, May 13. Place your bagged items outside well before your carrier’s normal pick-up time (suggested time is 9 a.m.). Suggested food items: canned beans, salmon and tuna; canned fruits and vegetables; whole grain, low-sugar cereals; macaroni and cheese dinners; peanut butter. The Adult Skills Center’s Color Our World 5K Fun Walk: The 5K walk is a fundraiser for the nonprofit that helps individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, 10 a.m. May 13. The walk includes stops at “color” stations, where those who want to have their event t-shirt splashed with colored cornstarch, will take home a fun souvenir from the event.
