Craig Morgan Debuts New Song He Recorded With Luke Combs, “Raise The Bar,” At The Grand Ole Opry

Music

Craig Morgan and Luke Combs together on a song? Sign me the hell up.

Craig is one of the most underrated guys in country music, with a catalog of some absolutely monster hits. Songs like “Almost Home,” “That’s What I Love About Sunday,” “This Ain’t Nothin’,” and “International Harvester,” all still in my regular rotation.

He’s got a powerful, instantly recognizable voice, and he just makes some damn good, real country music.

Craig had a big run of hits from 2002 to 2013, but his radio success has fallen off since then, with the exception of his 2019 single “The Father, My Son and The Holy Ghost,” his heartbreaking tribute to his late son.

But don’t let the fact that you don’t hear him on the radio fool you: Craig’s still just as good as he’s always been. And he proved it tonight at the Grand Ole Opry when he debuted a brand new song from his upcoming album, one that Craig said he recorded with his buddy (who also happens to be a country superstar) Luke Combs.

Called “Raise the Bar,” the song’s a good ol’ country drinkin’ song about hitting up the local joint to “give the place some workin’ class” in their clothes “stained with a little blue collar dirt.”

Tell me that ain’t a damn country song right there. And once you throw some Luke Combs in the mix too?

If this one’s not a hit, I don’t know what is.
