Ashley McBryde Performs Acoustic Version Of Her New Single “Light On In The Kitchen” At The Grand Ole Opry

There’s just something about Ashley McBryde in the iconic Opry circle…

If there’s a better Opry debut moment than Ashley playing “Girl Going Nowhere” back in 2017, I’d sure love to see it, because man that’ll get the tears flowing every time you watch it.

Few artists work as hard and stay true to themselves more than the Waldron, Arkansas native, who cut her teeth in bars (and illegal strip clubs) throughout the country for years.

Ever since Eric Church brought her on stage after discovering her Jalopies & Expensive Guitars EP, her career has been on the steady upswing and for my money, she’s one of, if not THE best, female artists on the planet.

This week, the Grand Ole Opry member stepped back into the iconic circle and decided to strip it down and play an acoustic rendition of her recently released “Light On In The Kitchen” and my goodness it was incredible.

Just a girl, a guitar, and a beautiful story to tell.

“Honey, trust yourselfYou better love yourself‘Cause ’til you do, you ain’t no good for anybody elseAnd honey, boys are dumbBut you’re gonna find your oneLove him hard, bless your heartYou’ll need someone to listenThat’s why I leave a light on in the kitchen”

Ashley’s been releasing some new singles after her last album, Ashley McBryde Presents: Welcome To Lindevilleso it seems like she’s gearing up to put out another project.

Fingers crossed it’s this year…
