Welcome Back

The band will perform opposite host Nate Bargatze

Foo Fighters are set to return to Saturday Night Live as musical guests on Oct. 28. The band will perform opposite of host and comedian Nate Bargatze.

This will be the group’s ninth stop as musical guests and their first appearance on SNL since the drummer Taylor Hawkins’s death in March 2022. While the band was set to appear in May, the episode was canceled due to the writers’ strike, which ended in October.

SNL returned this past weekend and opened its 49th season with host Pete Davidson, and Ice Spice, who made her musical guest debut on the show, kicking it off with a performance of “In Ha Mood.” For her second song of the night, “Pretty Girl,” she was joined by Rema, who features on it.

Friend and collaborator Taylor Swift also made a cameo during Saturday’s SNL season premiere, while Travis Kelce made a brief surprise appearance on a Swift-centric NFL sketch earlier in the night.

Foo Fighters are set to hit 10 cities for 12 shows next summer for their Everything or Nothing at All Tour. Their U.S. stadium run will begin with two shows at New York’s Citi Field next July. The 2024 trek follows their 2023 album But Here We Are, and will feature the Pretenders and the Hives as special guests on alternating dates. Mammoth WVH, Alex G, Amyl and the Sniffers, and L7 will also join the group on various dates.
