Tennessee rocker Jelly Roll brought his latest to late night on Monday, performing “Wild Ones,” the hip-hop-by-way-of-Nashville collab with singer Jessie Murph, on Jimmy Kimmel Live. On the single, where the duo outline the kind of crazy that appeals to them, the father of two even name drops wife Bunnie XO while rapping. Who said marriage was boring?

“I’m attracted to things that are really crazy/Asking me how I’ve been feeling lately/Coming for mine, then it’s do or die/I won’t let it slide, no stealing bases/
No back-and-forth bargaining (Now)/No bitchin’ and arguing/A whole lotta problems, living in Gotham/And Bunnie’s my Harley Quinn (My Harley Quinn)”

Jelly Roll last took to the late-night stage in early October, with “Halfway to Hell,” the first track from his new record Whitsitt Chapel

He is next set to open this year’s CMAs, at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Nov. 8, with his hit, “Need a Favor.” It will be his first time making an appearance at the trophy toss where he could catch up to five of the awards.

In June, Jelly Roll, born Jason DeFord, released Whitsitt Chapel, and last year, he swopped his first Number One country song with, “Son of a Sinner.”

His latest record features lead single “Need a Favor” and “Save Me,” which was remixed from his 2020 studio album Self Medicated and featured BBR Music Group label-mate, Lainey Wilson. In April, he debuted “Need a Favor” with a gospel-choir performance at the CMT Music Awards.

Murphy is currently on her biggest headlining tour yet, visiting 40 cities across North America. Earlier this year, she teamed up with Maren Morris, on the song “Texas.”

“I’ve been singing Maren’s songs since I was a little girl,” Murph, age 18, said in a statement. “She’s someone I’ve always looked up to and I’m so grateful to have her as my first ever feature — especially on a song like ‘Texas’ that I love so much!”
