Kaitlin Butts is gifting us with a positive message to close out the last New Music Friday of 2023.
Butts laid down a flawless cover of The Secret Sisters’ “Tomorrow Will Be Kinder,” spreading the message that you need to be kinder to yourself.
Butts, who often sings about making men cry, toxic family situations, and murder, takes a lighter approach with this song, and it’s refreshing to hear such a positive message from her. Don’t get me wrong, I love the vengeful and sad songs from Butts, but it’s always good to hear a new light from an artist.
The soft acoustic melodies of the song highlight Butts’ incredible vocal talent as the Oklahoma native lets her soft twangs shine.

At the end of the song, rather than ending the song where The Secret Sisters did, Butts added some of her own flair to the end. She adds a few lines from Gordon MacRae’s “Oh What A Beautiful Morning,” giving the end of the song the perfect uplifting ending that not only will what is to come be kinder, but the life we live is filled with little beauties.
