The rain is coming to the Valley — so get ready for a wet New Year’s weekend.

Showers are likely — with a 70% chance — after midnight Friday with lows around 50 degrees, said the National Weather Service.

On Saturday, showers are forecast in the morning, with a 20% chance of showers in the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 50s to mid-60s. It will be mostly cloudy Saturday evening, becoming partly cloudy with lows in the mid- to upper 40s.

On Sunday — New Year’s Eve — it will be mostly cloudy with a 20% chance of showers in the afternoon and highs around 60 degrees. It will be mostly cloudy Sunday night with a 50% chance of showers and lows in the low to mid-40s.

It will be mostly cloudy Monday — New Year’s Day — with a 30% chance of showers in the morning and a slight chance of showers in the afternoon. Highs will be in the low to mid-60s.
